"VICKERS" is a name synonymous with quality work. Starting as 'R.A. & M.G. VICKERS, PANELBEATERS' in 1950, a change was made in 1975 to Aluminium Fabrication. Upon the retirement of Ron and Marj Vickers in 1983, the business changed hands to son-in-law and daughter, Steve and Judy Turner. This heralded a further diversification into stainless steel and mild steel sales and fabrication. Building on the base of a successful and well established business, the Company employs a small but highly skilled workforce of qualified tradesmen. With the capacity to network locally, and with close working relationships with major cutting and supply companies in Brisbane, Vickers Aluminium Pty Ltd considers no job too small or too large. Customers expectations of quality, value for money, and on time and in specification, are addressed in every aspect of contractual work. Major rail contracts with EDI Rail and Bombardier Transportation have seen Vickers Aluminium Pty Ltd progress from a small jobing shop to a major supplier of quality rail products, including pressure vessels (air and water), electrical junction boxes and cabinets, airconditioning ducts and vents, and numerous polyethelene and metal components. We also highly regard our working relationship with the Maryborough City Council, Queensland Fire Service, Forestry Department, National Parks & Wildlife Service, Hyne Timber, Kingfisher Bay Resort & Village, and all our valued private customers.
